“Large Fire” <Part 2>

Additionally, parking committee members also expressed their intention to participate and encouraged us.

First, the intercessory prayer team of about twenty people was formed. A date was set and announced.

The location for the intercessory prayer meeting was decided to be the construction supervision office 

in the basement of the new temple under construction.

Because it was under construction, there was no lighting in the passageway, so we had to be careful going down the concrete structure, and because it was an office, it was a very cramped, cold, and dusty place.

Fortunately, the supervisor's office had a fireplace and a sofa and chair, so although it was a bit inconvenient, 

it was perfect for a prayer meeting.

We loved it, calling it a modern Mark's attic.

Now the promised date was approaching.

At 7 o'clock that night, the first intercessory Prayer Meeting was held.

I was excited from the moment I left for work in the morning.

My workplace was a blessing from the Lord and was a construction site for a very important new building being built by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs.

I was working there as a field manager for plumbing work in a new building.

The construction site I was responsible for was the largest of the 70 construction sites across the country that our company was working on.

So, all processes were carried out meticulously and planned, and I was in charge of constructing the most important process.

Although our shoulders were heavy, God the Holy Spirit gave us wisdom at each time, and the construction was carried out without any problems for three years.

Then one day, after completing all my morning plans, I was leisurely reviewing my daily work in my office.

But suddenly there was a lot of noise outside and the urgent sounds of people were heard.

When I listened carefully, it seemed like it was calling me.

I opened the door and went out.

The assistant manager of the construction management department was rushing in and the plumbers were running here and there and making a fuss.

When I asked what was going on, the assistant manager of the construction department looked at my expression and said something difficult.

I yelled at him to speak louder.

He urgently said that a fire was caused by a spark generated by a pipe welding technician belonging to our company during welding work in the machine room on the 5th basement floor, splashing onto the wall finishing material of the machine room that had already been constructed.

The fire seemed to have started because it splashed onto already installed wall finishing material.

I immediately ran to the construction site and asked about the safety of our workers.

He said there was no way to know and he said the fire department would be arriving soon so he had no other choice but to wait for their action.

We arrived at the fire scene in less than 2-3 minutes and saw a huge amount of black smoke coming out of the many window frames between the basement and the first floor. At that moment, I collapsed on the ground.

I watched blankly as black smoke and waste materials were billowing out from the large equipment entrance that opened directly from the ground to the 5th floor underground. 

I couldn't help but despair as I saw black smoke billowing out through the many window openings of the building, which was about 120 meters long.
